Eric McDaniel is a founder and principal of Sora Design
Group, LLC and is a registered architect with over 22
years of professional experience. Over the last 12
years, his focus has been on elevating building
performance through holistic building analysis and
design . He has worked on a diverse range of projects
from small retail to large-scale commercial and
institutional projects in over 11 countries worldwide.
He has been responsible for overseeing and completing
technical studies including energy and daylight
modeling, sustainable site assessments, carbon
assessments, renewable energy feasibility studies, and
energy and water auditing. Prior to Sora Design Group,
Eric has actively consulted on 3 projects pursuing netzero
energy, over 90 projects earning LEED certication
and performed over 250 LEED certication submission
reviews for the Green Building Certication Institute
(GBCI). Two notable projects where his expertise have
been applied is the 2014 World Cup Stadium in Brasilia
and the US Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
